"Merle M. Polkinghorn, 93, of Venice, Fla., formerly of Pelican Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006.
She was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Two Harbors, and moved to Pelican Rapids in 1945, where she raised her family while her husband, Henry, practiced law for 33 years. They moved to Florida in 1984. She belonged to Emmanual Lutheran Church in Venice.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry.
Survivors include three sons: Thomas (Kathy) of Fargo, Richard (Joyce) of Littleton, Colo., and Robert (Carol) of Webster, Wis.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren...." 2
