"Mineral Point - Homer Thomas James, age 89, of Mineral Point passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville.
He was born on January 22, 1922 in the Pleasant View area the son of Earl and Dorothy (Carter) James. He married Irene Huber in 1960 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Mineral Point. Homer farmed in the Willow Springs Township on the family farms his entire life.
Together they enjoyed traveling to many places around the world. Homer enjoyed Bowling, playing cards, and watching baseball. He was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church.
Homer is survived by his brother, Orville (Gretchen) James of Dodgeville / Phoenix, AZ; two sisters, Grace Rolli of Dodgeville and Martha (Maury) McLean of Lancaster; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Irene on May 8, 2009, a brother Henry (Margaret) James and a brother-in-law Charlie Rolli...." 3
