In 1851 George Craze, aged 52, born in Camborne, butcher, was living in Crane, Camborne, Cornwall. Present were wife Elizth., aged 57, born in Penryn, son Thomas (20) of Penryn, assists his father. Resident also was widow Mary Dunn (51) of Crowan, house servant.
In the 1856 Post Office Directory for Cornwall, George Crase is listed as a butcher in Tucking Mill.
In 1861 George Crase, aged 64, born in Camborne, butcher, was living in Tucking Mill, Camborne, Cornwall. Present was wife Elizabeth, aged 67, born in Penryn.

"Whereas a Petition of George Crase of Suckingmill [Tuckingmill] in the parish of Camborne, in the Cornwall, Butcher, an insolvent debtor, having been filed in the County Court of Cornwall, at the Townhall, Redruth, and an interim order for protection from process having been given to the said George Crase, under the provisions of the Statutes and that case made and provided, the said George Crase is hereby required to appear before the said Court, on the 7th day of August next, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon precisely, for his first examination touching his debts, estate, and effects, and to be further dealt with according to the provisions of the said Statutes; and the choice of the creditors' assignees is to take place at the time so appointed. All persons indebted to the said George Crase, or that have any of his effects, are not to pay or deliver the same but to Mr. John L. Peter, Registrar of the said Court, at his office, at Townhall, Redruth, the Official Assignee of the estate and effects of the said insolvent." 6
