Richilde von Bliesgau
Research Notes:
This origin is suggested by the charter dated 1076 under which Pibon Bishop of Toul granted privileges to the priory of Laître sous Amance, founded by "comitissæ Sophiæ", in which she declared that the castle of Amance belonged to "Theodericus dux, comitissæ avus" who had inherited it from "comiti Folmaro in Asmantia". No other primary source which confirms her parentage more precisely has yet been identified. 1
Marriage Information:
Richilde married Thierry I, duc de Haute-Lorraine, comte de Bar, son of Frédéric I, duc de Haute-Lorraine, comte de Bar, and Beatrix de Bourgogne, about 992. (Thierry I, duc de Haute-Lorraine was born between 962 and 972 in Lorraine, Moselle, France and died on 11 Apr 1027 in Bar-Le-Duc, Meuse, Lorraine, France.)
