"WEDDING.

CLOSE--PALAMOUNTAIN.

When Miss Elizabeth Gwen Palamountain, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Palamountain, of Neutral Bay, Sydney, was married to Mr. Stanley Borrill Close, only son of Mrs. P. L. Close, of Willoughby, and the late Mr. H. Close, on 30th January, she wore an American sparkling water ensemble of mushroom pink. her rum brown velour hat had a mushroom pink feather ornament, and was cut in large scallops, allowing the light on her face. She carried a sheaf of fragrant pink tiger lilies, with just a few brown marigolds in the centre, and tied with brown tulle ribbon.

The matron of honour also wore the contrasting shades, so fashionable in Sydney this autumn, a brown ensemble with fawn accessories, and carried a sheaf of orange tiger lilies and golden berries.

Mr. W. H. Maunsell was the best man.

Mrs. Close, mother of the bridegroom, wore a handsome black mariette frock, and carried mauve flowers.

Mrs. Palamountain wore a frock of embossed georgette in autumn tonings, and carried a very charming fan of flowers in tawny shades.

The Rev. James McLeod officiated at St. Stephen's Church, Macquarie Street, Sydney. The organist played Schubert's music at the bride's request.

Mr. and Mrs. Palamountain afterwards entertained their guests at Cahill's, Castlereagh Street. The bride and bridegroom then left for their honeymoon at Kiama, the bride wearing a costume and hat of pink tweed and rum brown crepe-de-chene jumper and bag.

The bride is a grand-daughter of Mr. E. F. R. Schlegel, Ferrers Street." 6
