BLEWETT.—Oct. 13, from an accident at the Henry Nourse gold mine, Johannesburg, Mr. Joseph Blewett, late of Knave-go-bye, Camborne.
The Cornishman, Thursday, 22 Nov 1888, p. 3
------------------------------
According to advices received at Camborne last week Mr Joseph Blewett, a miner, about forty years of age, and lately a resident at Tolcarne, Camborne, was killed at the Cape of Good Hope about a month since. Two natives were about to send down a barrel to bring water to surface when the coil of rope in winding became entangled round the winze kibble and rolled it into the shaft. The kibble struck Mr Blewett on the head and he did not speak again. Deceased leaves a widow and three children at Camborne.
