"Dnus Bucardus de Monte Morentiaco" donated property to the abbey of Saint-Martin de Pontoise for the souls of "uxorisque suæ, filiorum filiarumque suarum" with the consent of "filium suum Mathæum" by charter dated . "Bocardus Munmorenci castelli dominus" donated property to Chartres Saint-Père, in the presence of "Matheo comite Belli Montis", by charter dated to before 1112, later confirmed by "Matheus filius Bocardi".

"Milites, Witerus Registensis comes, Henricus comes de Grandiprato, Drogo de Petrefonte, Gualcherius de Castellione, Matheus de Montemorencii..." witnessed the charter dated 1137 which records an agreement between "Guermundus de Castellione advocatus Ruminiaci" and Compiègne Saint-Corneille. "Matheus de Montemorenciaco" donated property to the abbaye du Val, with the consent of "filii mei Buchardus, Theobaldus, Matheus", by charter dated 1160.
The necrology of Saint-Victor, Paris records the death "V Kal Nov" of "domini Mathei de Montemorenciaco", and records his donations for the anniversaries of his parents and of "fratris eius Theobaldi" 1
Mathieu married Alice (Aline) FITZ HENRY of England, daughter of Henri I 'Beauclerc,' King of England, and an unnamed Mistress, in 1126. (Alice (Aline) FITZ HENRY was born about 1114 in Selby, West Riding, Yorkshire, England and died in 1141 in Montmorency, Val d'Oise, Ile-de-France, France.
Mathieu also married Adélaide DU MAURIENNE, daughter of Humbert II "le Renforcé" DE SAVOIE, Comte du Maurienne & Aosta, and Gisele DE BOURGOGNE, in 1141. (Adélaide DU MAURIENNE was born about 1092, died on 18 Nov 1154 and was buried in église abbatiale de Saint-Pierre, Montmartre, Paris, France.)
