Alice (Aline) FITZ HENRY of England
- Born: Abt 1114, Selby, West Riding, Yorkshire, England
- Married: 1126
- Died: 1141, Montmorency, Val d'Oise, Ile-de-France, France
Research Notes:
Guillaume de Jumièges records that one illegitimate daughter of King Henry I married "Matthæo filio Burchardi de Montemorenceio". Duchesne dates the marriage to 1126 but cites no source which provides the basis for this statement.
The necrology of Saint-Victor, Paris records the death "VIII Kal Mai" of "Alina uxor Mathei de Montemorenciaco".
Marriage Information:
Alice married Mathieu I DE MONTMORENCY, Connétable de France, son of Bouchard DE MONTMORENCY and Agnès DE BEAUMONT, Dame de Conflans, in 1126. (Mathieu I DE MONTMORENCY died after 1 Aug 1160.)
