The Chronicon Polono-Silesiacum refers to the first wife of Mieszko III as "filia regis Ungarorum" but does not name her. She is named “Elisabeth” in Europäische Stammtafeln, but the primary source which confirms that this is correct has not yet been identified. 1

Erszébet married Mieszko III "Stary/the Old" PIAST, Prince of Greater Poland, son of Bolesław III "Krzywousty/Wrymouth" PIAST, Prince of Poland, and Salome VON BERG, between 1136 and 1140. (Mieszko III "Stary/the Old" PIAST was born in 1126/7 and died on 13 Mar 1202.) |
