In 1881 Charles Langmead (15) of Stokenham, clerk at slate quarry, was with his parents in Stokenham.

In 1891 Chas. Langmead (25) of Stokenham Devon, carpenter, and wife Emmaline (21) of Devonport Devon, were living at 52 Elsdon Rd., Tottenham Middlesex. Present were daughter Bertha M. (2 months) of Tottenham, lodger Joseph Driscoll (71) Mesham North Wales, collector of rents & debts

In 1901 Charles Langmead (35) of Stokenham Devon, carpenter (builder), and wife Emmeline Mary (31) of Devonport, were living at 137 Bertram Rd., Enfield, Middlesex. Present were children: Bertha May (10) of Tottenham Middlesex, Ralph Charles (9) of Beeding Sussex, Harold Yorke (2) of Tottenham, John Hubert (2 m) of Enfield.

In 1911 Charles Langmead (45) of Chillington Devon, carpenter, and wife of 21 years Emmeline Mary (41) of Devonport Devon (mother of 6 children), were living at 38 Lavenham Rd., Wandsworth S.W. Present were children (all single): Ralph Charles (19) of Steyning Sussex, carpenter, Harold Yorke (12) of Tottenham, at school, John Hubert (10) of Enfield, at school, Sydney Arthur (7) of Wandsworth Surrey, at school, William Robert (6) of Wandsworth, at school.

In the 1939 Register Charles Langmead (b. 11 Feb 1866), joiners' foreman retired, and wife Emmeline M Langmead (b. 17 Aug 1869), unpaid domestic duties, were living in St Malo Down Hall Road, Rayleigh, Essex.
