In 1828 Matilda was a witness at the marriage of her uncle Roger Pepperell to Ann Blatch.

In 1841 Matilda Langmead (30) and husband Edward Langmead (30), ag lab, were living in North Pool, South Pool, Devon. Present were sons Charles (7), Thomas (2), John (7 months). Son Robert (10), ag. lab., was nextdoor.

In 1861 Matilda Langmead (52) of Slapton and husband Edward B. Langmead (55) of South Brent, ag lab., were living in Chillington Stokenham. Present were children: Charles (27) of Asprington, quarry man, John (20) of South Pool, S. Sailor, Anne Hyne (18) of South Pool, dressmaker

In 1871 Matilda Langmead (59) of Slapton and husband Edward Langmead (65) of Brent Devon, ag labourer, were living in Chillington Stokenham. Present was grandson Charles H. Langmead (18) of South Pool, carpenter apprentice
