Court roll entry: manor of Hammerden, 17 Apr 1623. 4

Elizabeth Woolfe, one of the daughters and co-heirs of John Woolfe deceased, for herself and for her sister Mercy Woolfe admitted to the moiety of a tenement and orchard (1 rood) at Helmans Pit, quitrent 7 pence.

-------------------------

In 1638 Mercy the wife of John Bright was the sole executrix of her mother's Will.

In 1639 John Bright wrote his Will in which he bequeathed to his wife Mercie £10, also all the money that came from her mother, his best bed in the chamber over the hall and a fletch of bacon.

Unable to locate a burial record for Mercy. Mercy's second husband, Michael Beck, wrote his Will in April 1643 in which Mercy's name does not appear nor does any mention of his wife. Presumably she died any time between 1639 and 1643.

  Marriage Information:

Mercy married John Bright on 29 Nov 1629 in Hailsham, Sussex, England. (John Bright was buried on 16 Apr 1639 in St. Mary, Hailsham, Sussex, England.)

Mercy also married Michael Beck, son of Michael Beck, on 15 Jul 1639 in Hailsham, Sussex, England. (Michael Beck was christened on 19 Dec 1602 in Seaford, Sussex, England and was buried there on 7 Jun 1643.)
