In 1861 John Beckingham (28) of Burbage, ag. lab, and wife Mary (20) of Mildenhall were living in Wootton Rivers Wilts. Present was daughter Elizabeth (6 mo) of South Savernake.

In 1871 John Beckingham (38) of South Savernake [sic], ag labourer, and wife Mary (30) of Mildenhall were living in Cuckoo's Knob Wootton Rivers Wilts. Present were children: Elizabeth (10) of South Savernake, scholar, and born in Wootton Rivers: Sarah (8), scholar, Matilda (7), scholar, Esther (6), scholar, William (2). John's brother David and his family were also living in Cuckoo's Knob.

In 1881 John Beckingham (48) of Burbage, agricultural laborer, and wife Mary (40) of Mildenhall were living in 15th House (East) Wootton Rivers Wilts. Present were children (born in Wootton Rivers): Sarah A. (18), Esther (15), William (12), plough boy, Kate (6), scholar, Caroline (4), scholar, John (2). In 1911 John Henery Beckingham (78) of Burbage parish, widower, road labourer, was living in Wootton Rivers. Boarding was [daughter] Alice Amor (27) of Wotton, her husband Stephen John Amor (24) of Milton (Wilton?) parish, farm labourer, and their children: Charles Amor (2) and Edith Alice Amor (5 m)
