In 1881 Matilda Gadd (17) of Wootton Rivers Wilts and husband Henry Gadd (26) of Winchester Hants, ag: lab: (out of employment), were living in 14th House (East), Wootton Rivers. Matilda's parents were living nextdoor.

In 1891 Matilda Gadd (28) of Wootton Rivers Wilts and husband Henry Gadd (36) of Winchester Hants, agricult. laborer, were living in Soothill (cottages), Lydiard Tregoze Wilts.
