In 1851 Richard Hooper, aged 45, born in St. Agnes Cornwall, yeoman, and wife Mary, aged 43, born in St. Agnes, were living in Goonown, St. Agnes. With them was Richard's father, Richard Hooper (80) of St. Agnes, widower, copper miner.

In 1861 Richard Hooper, aged 54, born in St. Agnes Cornwall, copper miner, and wife Mary, aged 53, born in St. Erme Cornwall, were living in Goonown, St. Agnes.

In 1871 Richard Hooper, aged 63, born in St. Agnes Cornwall, widower, deriving income chiefly from houses, was living in Goonown, St. Agnes.
