In 1901 John Dure (56) of Sherford, farm labourer, and wife Mary Lezabeth Hannah (49) of Kingsbridge, were living in Duncombe, Sherford. Present were son Frederick Georg (17) of Sherford, farm labourer, daughter Bertha Ellen (14) of Sherford, and granddaughters Edath Emily Dure (8) & Florance May Dure (3), both born in Kingsbridge.
In 1911 John Dure (65) of Sherford, farm labourer, and wife Mary Elizabeth Hannah (58) of Charleton, mother of 7 children (1 deceased), were living in 16B Ebrington Street Dodbrooke. Present were daughter Bertha Ellen Jarvis (24), married, [grand]daughter Florence May Dure (13) of Kingsbridge, granddaughter Dorothy Mary Jarvis (2) of Sherford, grandson William John Jarvis (1) of Dodbrooke.
