There were two Thomas Vincents born in Camborne in 1813, one the son of John and Jane, the other the son of Thomas and Elizabeth. Both appear in the 1851 Census. It was this Thomas (son of Thomas & Elizabeth) who married Elizabeth Hoskin, since
(a) He is called Thomas Jnr. in the marriage record. (b) the other Thomas' wife was Catherine (née Roberts); their marriage (his second) was in 1840 when said Thomas named his father as John; and (c) Thomas Vincent who married Elizabeth Hoskin had a son Joseph as well as a brother of the same name (Thomas' maternal grandfather was Joseph).
