Gisèle DE VAUDÉMONT 1

  • Born: Vaudémont, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Lorraine, France
  • Married: 1120
  • Died: 26 December, after 1141

  Research Notes:

The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines names "comitem Wanderii Montis Hugonem et sororem eius Gislam" as children of "Gerardum…primus comes Wanderi Montis" & his [second] wife, specifying that Gisela was "comitissa Barri". Her first marriage is deduced from the same source which records that "comes Raynaldus Barri" became the stepfather of "comitis Frederici Tullensis et fratrum suorum Theoderici et Wedrici" although without naming his wife.... 2

  Marriage Information:

Gisèle married Cte Rainard III DE TOUL, son of Cte Frédéric I D' ASTENOIS et de Toul and Gertrude DE TOUL. (Cte Rainard III DE TOUL died between 1116 and 1120.)

  Marriage Information:

Gisèle also married Cte Renaud I "le Borgne" DE BAR-LE-DUC et de Mousson, son of Thierry II DE BAR et de Mousson and Ermentrude DE BOURGOGNE, heiress of Montbéliard, in 1120. (Renaud I "le Borgne" DE BAR-LE-DUC was born between 1075 and 1077 and died on 10 Mar 1149 on ship in the Mediterranean.)
