In 1860, Mary Rough (32) of England and husband James Rough (35) of England, were living in Rockland Township, Ontonagon, Michigan, USA. Present were children (a) born in England: Elizabeth A. (12), Frances M. (10), Harriet J. (6) born in Pennsylvania, Hanibal (6) born in Wisconsin, Benjamin F. (3) and James H. (0), both born in Michigan.

Does not appear with her family in the 1870 Census.

   Marriage Information:

Mary married James ROUGH, son of Henry (Hannibal?) ROUGH and Unknown, on 29 Jun 1847 in Camborne, Cornwall. (James ROUGH was born about 1827 in Phillack, Cornwall.)

* Note: The only James Rough born in Phillack in the mid 1820s was James, son of Hannibal and Ann, christened 1825 in Gwinear (resident of Phillack). The only James Rough in the 1841 Census was with [his mother] Ann. Note that James' eldest son is named Hannibal. However, a Henry Rough (born c.1800) and his wife Mary Ann were living in Camborne in 1851, with children all of whom were born in Stoke Climsland.
