Obituary
"An old resident of Golden-square, in the person of Mrs. Elizabeth Webster, widow of the late Mr. John Webster, passed away at the residence of her son, Mr. J. Webster, King-street west, last night. The deceased lady, who was 73 years of age, came to Australia 35 years ago with her husband, both being natives of Cornwall. Fryerstown was first selected as their home, and Mr. and Mrs. Webster then removed to Eaglehawk, afterwards going to Golden-square, where they resided for 25 years. Both Mr. and Mrs. Webster took a lively interest in the Golden-square Methodist Church, the husband being always an active worker in anything that tended to advance the interests of the church. One son, Mr. J. Webster, of Messrs. F. and E. Stilwell's establishment, and two daughters, Mesdames Jas. and John Tredinnick, survive, and reside in the city. The cause of death was a general break-up of the system. The funeral will take place on Sunday afternoon to the Bendigo Cemetery." 3
