Knotwell, Lois E. LANCASTER - Lois E.
Knotwell, age 70, of Lancaster, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 30, 1933, in North Lancaster Township, the daughter of Vivian and Esther (Rech) Duncan. On Dec. 29, 1951, she married Russell E. Knotwell in Lancaster. In March 1969 they purchased Russ' Tap in Lancaster. Together they ran this business until Russell's death on June 5, 1994, and Lois continued to run it until 1997....
Lois is survived by her two children, William (Nancy Jay) Knotwell and Peggy (Kevin) Timmerman, both of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Russell R. Knotwell, Jacob Timmerman, Toni Jo Timmerman and Jared Timmerman, all of Lancaster; a great-grandchild, Hunter William Knotwell, Lancaster; her mother, Esther Duncan, Lancaster; two brothers, Richard (Mary) Duncan and Larry (Mary) Duncan, both of Lancaster; three sisters, Irene (Robert) Beam, Port Charlotte, Fla., Phyllis (Gary) Miszewski, Fox Lake, and LaVon (James Bogren) DeRemer, Chicago; a very special friend, Barry Ward, Lancaster; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; her father, Vivian; and her brother-in-law, Roger Knotwell.....
