Eunice AdaKNOTWELL 85, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, left this earth on Saturday, April 15, 2006, to be with her Lord and family members. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 11, 1921, in Encampment, Wyo., to Brady and Abbie (Fitzjarrel) Bensen. She attended school in Encampment and graduated valedictorian of her class in 1939.
On July 22, 1939, she married Donald Wayne Knotwell. They resided in Encampment until 1948, when they relocated to Fort Collins.....
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Don, on July 30, 1978; her infant son, Raymond; four sisters and three brothers; and her parents.
She is survived by her four daughters and their spouses: Gwendolyn and Jim Luman of Tomball, Texas, Mavis and DeForest Short of Elmira, N.Y., Dona and Dale Alps of Loveland, Colo., and Vera Knotwell of Fort Collins, Colo.; eight grandchildren: Christina and John Brennan and children Alayna, Mason and Reece of Cypress, Texas; Wesley and Amy Caywood and children Cole, Caroline and Madyn of Parker, Texas, Eric Alps of Fort Collins and daughter Nakita of Aurora, Colo.; Dennis Alps of Northglenn; Michael Alps and Keli Barr and daughter Ashley of Loveland; Brian and Tisha Alps and children Cari and Xzavyr of Timnath, Colo.; Skyler and Danielle Alps and children Tyler and Bailee; Clint and Valerie Alps and children Kapryni, Austin and Kordell of Loveland. She is also survived by three step-granddaughters and three step-great grandchildren.
