Obituary
"Mildred Frances Knotwell was born Mildred Frances Hoskins on a farm near Enders in Chase County, Neb. Dec. 4, 1911. She was one of five children born to Wilber and Jesse (Nee Roe)Hoskins. She was united in marriage to Claude ÒJohnÓ O. Knotwell Feb. 4, 1932. They were married for 62 years when John passed away in 1995. They both lived their entire lives in Chase County, Neb. She worked as depot agent for the Burlington Railroad and as a bookkeeper at the First State Bank of Enders. She retired from the bank in 1978. She and John were avid Imperial Longhorn fans attending many home and away games. She was also known as the Imperial Manor as a big Husker football supporter and listened to all the games on the radio along with all of the Chase County High School games that were broadcast. She passed away April 21, 2003, at the age of 91, at the Imperial Manor in Chase County, Neb. She was preceded in death by her husband Claude ÒJohnÓ O. Knotwell and a son John S. Knotwell. She is survived by one son Craig Knotwell and his wife Beverly of Littleton, Colo.; a granddaughter, Frances Oeltjen and her husband Gary of North Platte; a grandson, Curt Knotwell of Aurora, Colo.; and a grandson, Brad Knotwell and his wife Regina of Seattle, Wash., and five great grandchildren...." 2
