In 1841, Chrisn.* Bennetts (20), copper miner, and wife Eliza (20), were living in Tolcarne Stamps, Camborne. Present were sons Chrisn.* (4) and James (1).

* Unless a mistranscription of Chrish., the census taker has assumed Christian as the forename instead of Christopher.

On 13 Oct 1846, Christopher Bennett, wife and four children arrived in Port Adelaide per the barque David Malcolm.
