Jenefer's father, who was from Camborne, married Jenefer's mother in St. Stephen in Brannel, where Jenefer was christened. Her father was, however, from Camborne, as were most of her siblings.

In 1851 Jane Bennetts (67) of Camborne, miner's widow supported by daughter, was living in Tucking Mill, Illogan. Present were daughter Elizabeth Bennetts (30) of Camborne, safety fuze maker, lodger David Cock (44) of Moretonhamstead, Devon, copper miner.
