" Mr. Thomas Fraser.
The late Mr. Thomas Frazer, whose death occurred at his residence, Orange Grove, Blackhill road, Hectorville, on June 21, was a well-known and highly respected colonist. He was born at Wester, Kirk Hill. Inverness-shire, in January, 1855. He came to South Australia in 1877, and for a number of years was employed in the nurseries belonging to Messrs. Sewell and Smith. Over 20 years since he settled at Orange Grove, in the cultivation of which he expended considerable energy and skill. The deceased gentleman was a valuable member of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society for many years, a judge at most of the shows for the last 20 years. He has left a widow. He was also one of the committee of the Fruit-growers' Association, and a member of the Caledonian Society." 5
