"Mrs. Mary Mae Hickok, 925 Grand avenue, Long Beach, passed away Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donald F. McKean. 462 East Arrow highway, after an illness of three weeks. She was 77 years of age.
A native of Traer, Iowa, Mrs. Hickok had lived in Long Beach for 45 years, and was a member of the First Presbyterian church of that city. Her husband, M.E. Hickok, died in 1927.
Surviving besides the daughter in Upland are two sons, Rex R. Hickok and Bernard R. Hickok, both of Long Beach; a sister Mrs. Alice Thomas of Des Moines, Iowa; one brother, C. I. Grover of St. Paul, Minnesota; and five grandchildren...." 3
