In 1850, J Bennett (50) of England, miner, and wife G. Bennett (47) of England, were living in Mineral Point, Iowa, Wisconsin, USA. Present were children (born in England): Joseph (27), miner, William (18), sadler, Grace (15), Henry (10)

In 1860, Joseph Bennett (58) of England and wife Grace (55) of England, were living in the Town Of Mineral Point, Iowa, Wisconsin, USA. Present were Joseph (35), Elizabeth (23), Henry (19), William (2)

In 1870, Joseph Bennett (70) of England, without occupation, and wife Grace (70) of England, were living in Mineral Point Town, Iowa, Wisconsin. Present were Henry Bennett (28) of England, works in lead mine, Emma Bennetts (20) of England, keeping house. Son Joseph and his family were living nextdoor.

Joseph married Grace DUNSTONE, daughter of Michael DUNSTONE and Jenefer BENNETTS, on 30 Dec 1822 in Illogan, Cornwall. (Grace DUNSTONE was born in 1802 in Camborne, Cornwall, christened on 23 May 1802 in Camborne, Cornwall and died after 1870 in Mineral Point, Iowa, WI, USA.)
