  Research Notes:

In 1861 Susan Trenery, age 11, born in Phillack, was with her parents Thomas Trenery (40) of Phillack, master mariner, and Susan (42) of Penzance, in Hayle Terrace Phillack Cornwall.

In May 1867 The Royal Cornwall Gazette reported the death of Susan's father, Thomas Trenery, master, and his brother Wm. Trenery, mate, aboard the schooner Pencalenick, which sailed from Hayle on 15 March for Baladonegan, Ireland, with a cargo of timber and machinery. Other than some identifiable fragments of the vessel washed up on shore of Kil Catherine, Ireland, neither man was found.

In 1871 Susan Trenery Jr. (21), born in Hayle, dressmaker, was with her widowed mother Susan Trenery, nurse, in Commercial Road, Phillack.
