LOSS TO BEACON.
The death occurred at 7, Condurrow-road, Beacon, on Wednesday, of Mr. Thomas John Wake, a well-known resident and sportsman in the village. The deceased, aged 50 years, had been last employed in laying the water pipes from Penponds to Beacon. He was associated with the Beacon Cricket Club, the Troon Rugby Club, and in all the sporting activities of the village. He leaves a widow and one son. The funeral, on Saturday, was largely attended at Troon Cemetery. Mr. J. H. Trebilcock, of Troon, officiated. The relatives present were the widow, Mr. T. J. Wake (son), Mesdames Harvey, Caddy and Monnington (sisters), Mrs. Campbell and Miss Harvey (nieces), Messrs. T., J. and F. Caddy (nephews), Mesdames Bawden, Murphy, Miss Arthur, Messrs. T. and E.
