Obituary

"MRS. G. H. FLETCHER

Mrs. Harriet Fletcher (73), an old resident of the Dunoon district, died in the Lismore Base Hospital yesterday morning. Mrs. Fletcher was born at Coolangatta, on the Shoalhaven River, N.S.W., and came to the Lismore district when only a few years old. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry White and formerly lived for a number of years on the Dunoon road just beyond the Lismore showground. Mrs. Fletcher has lived for over 50 years at Dunoon, Deceased was twice married. Her former husband, Mr. William Morton, selected a farm at Dunoon which Mrs. Fletcher retained after his death, in a locality which afterwards became known as Fletcher's Road. She later married Mr. George Fletcher, who survives. In addition there are two children by her first marriage—Nurse M. Morton (Southport) and Mrs. Samuel Ross (Dunoon). There are two sons and two daughters by her second marriage. The sons are Henry Fletcher (Eltham) and George Fletcher (Atherton, Qld.), and daughters are Mrs. R. Jarvis (Dunoon) and Mrs. F. Rose (Dunoon). The funeral will leave the Dunoon Methodist Church to-day (Thursday) at 1.30 p.m. after a ser vice commencing at 1.15 p.m., for the Dunoon cemetery." ^{4 5}
