"Opal G. Kryger
VERMILLION, S.D. - Opal G. Kryger, 93, of Vermillion died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999, at St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill, Neb.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion, with the Rev. Kevin Clark officiating. Burial will be in Bluff View Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, with a Rebekah service at 7 p.m., at Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home in Vermillion.
Mrs. Kryger was born Nov. 1, 1905, in Irene, S.D., the daughter of Louie and Mamie (Hocking) Varing. She attended Wakonda, S.D. schools.
She married Theodore Kryger on March 8, 1933, in Yankton. He died Oct. 6, 1966.
She currently was living with her son. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Lutheran Church Women, Vermillion Rebekah Lodge and Vermillion Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Lyle and Carol of Spencer, Neb.; three grandsons, Ron, Randy and Rick Kryger; six great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Delbert and Clayton Varing." 5
