In 1861 John H. Crimp (53) of Malborough, farmer of 33 acres employing 2 labourers & 1 boy, was living in South Huish, Devon. Present were Elizabeth (41) of South Huish, brother Nicholas E. (46) of South Huish, unmarried.

In 1871 John Harris Crimp (63) of South Huish, farmer out of business, apt. overseer, and wife Elizabeth (50) of South Huish, were living in Well Cottage, South Huish. Present was brother Nicholas E. Crimp (57) of South Huish, farmer at present out of farm.
