In 1851, Sarah Lakey (39) of Charleton and husband Thomas Lakey (40) of Kingsbridge, wool comber, were living in Fore St., Kingsbridge. Present were children: Thomas (16) of Kingsbridge, wool comber, Benjamin (12) of Dodbrooke, cordwainer (apprentice), Jane (10) of Dodbrooke, scholar, John (8) of Dodbrooke, scholar, Elizabeth (6) of Dodbrooke, scholar, Emma (5) of Dodbrooke, Mary (2) of Kingsbridge, Samuel (1) of Kingsbridge

In 1861, Sarah Lakey (48) of Charleton, married, was living in Clarence St., Charles, Plymouth, Devon. Present were children (born in Kingsbridge): Mary (13), scholar, Samuel (11), scholar, William (8), scholar. [Sarah' husband Thomas, and children Benjamin, Jane and John appear in the 1860 U.S. Federal Census.]
