In 1900 Laura J. Waters (b. Dec 1870), born in England, arrived in USA in 1893, and husband of 7 years William Waters (b. Mar 1864), born in England, gold miner, were living in Black Hawk, Gilpin, Colorado. With them were children Ethel (b. Sep 1894, Pennsylvania), William (b. Nov 1895, Pennsylvania), Hazel (b. Mar 1898, Colorado), Georgina (b. Mar 1900, Colorado) and George (b. Mar 1900, Colorado).

BUTTE RESIDENT, MRS. LAURA BARRETT, DEAD.
Mrs. Laura J. Barrett, a native of Cornwall, England, died yesterday morning at a local hospital after a brief illness. She was 56 years of age and had made her home in Butte for the last 26 years. She had a large circle of friends who will be grieved to learn of her death.
Surviving relatives include her husband, J. H. Barrett; a son, William J. Waters; three daughters, Mrs. Walter Thomas, Mrs. John Bathorne and Mrs. Joseph Northey; a brother John Merrifield of Salt Lake City and three grandchildren, Olive May Thomas, Lucile Bathorne and Blanche Waters.
The body will be taken to the home, 1721 Florence avenue, from the Richards funeral parlors. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Richards chapel. The Rev. Frederick T. Spencer will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Moriah cemetery.
