"PETO—OLIVER.

The marriage took place at Fretherne Church on Tuesday afternoon of Mr. Wilfred Leonard Peto, son of Mr. James Peto, of Ewell, Surrey, and Miss Mary Constance Oliver, daughter of the Rev. A. C. and Mrs. Oliver, of Fretherne Rectory. The church was decorated by Mr. Basil Jones with white flowers and palms and plants lent by Lady Darell.
The ceremony was performed by the bride's father and Dr. H. Maynard Smith. Mr. J. Merrett was at the organ and played suitable music.
The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. G. L. Oliver, wore a dress of white georgette with pearl trimming and tulle frills edged with silver, net veil and georgette train, both ornamented with orange blossom. Her bouquet was of deep red roses. The bridesmaids were Miss Enid M. Oliver (sister of the bride), Miss Winifred Peto (sister of the bridegroom), Miss M. Diana Awdry and Miss E. Vivienne Brain. Miss Ann Taylor and Master Randall Jones were the train bearers....
The duties of "best man" were carried out by Captain R. H. Stocken.
A reception was afterwards held at the Rectory...."
