GREAT BEDWYN

THE LATE MRS. LEE.—The funeral of Mrs. Etheline Maria Lee took place on Friday, a service at the Parish Church being conducted by the Vicar (the Rev. Clifford G. Phillips). The family mourners were: Mr. Jehu Lee (widower), Mr. T. H. Lee (son), Mr. and Mrs. S. Lee, of Chippenham (son and daughter-in-law), Mrs. Wells, of Wilton, Grafton (daughter), Mrs. Edwards, of Great Bedwyn (daughter), and Mr. Bernard Lee, of Chippenham (nephew). Several friends attended. Mrs. Lee, who was 67 years old, was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Caswell, of Wootton Rivers. At the age of 19 she married Mr. Jehu Lee, the youngest son of Mr. T. H. Lee, of Wilton, and they made their home at Wilton for 40 years. Some 11 years ago they came to Great Bedwyn and built up a business for their son (Mr. Stanley Lee, of Chippenham). There were several children of the marriage— four boys and two girls. Two boys died in their youth and the other two served in the last war—one in the Army and the other in the Navy. The elder daughter married Mr. L. Wells, of Wilton, and the younger is the wife of Mr. H. Edwards, of Crofton, and assists in the business. Mrs. Lee was a staunch Methodist.
