  Research Notes:

In 1851 Ann Putt (26) of South Pool, married, labourer's wife, was in Lower Batson Malborough Devon. Present were children (born in Batson Malborough): Mary J. (1), William (6 months), mother Elizabeth Pepperel (55) of Chivelstone, married, labourer's wife. At this time husband Philip Putt (30) of Malborough, labourer, was lodging in Charles the Martyr Plymouth.

In 1861 Ann Putt (36) of South Pool, Marriner's widow, was living in Batson Village Malborough Devon. Present were children (born in Malborough): Philip (6), scholar, Elizabeth A. (3), scholar. An Elizabeth Putt (67) of Malborough, labourer's widow, was living nextdoor, who was probably Ann's mother-in-law.

In 1871 Ann Putt (46) of Malborough [sic], widow, was living in Batson Village Malborough Devon. Present was son Philip (16) of Malborough, apprentice mason

In 1881 Ann Putt (55) of South Pool, widow, was living in Lower Batson Malborough Devon.

In 1891 Ann Putt (65) of South Pool, widow, charwoman, was with her daughter Mary Jane Swift and her family at 8 Robinsons Row, Malborough.
