"HARRIS.—On the 2nd April, at Prospect road, Janet Davidson, relict of Joseph Bartlett Harris, and dearly loved mother of Rev. D. C. Harris, of Goodwood, and Mrs. T. A. Messurier and E. J. Richardson, of 21 Balfour street, Prospect Gardens, and A. K. Harris, Broken Hill, and six other sons and daughters in other States of the Commonwealth and America, aged 87 years. A beautiful soul in the Saviour's keeping."

Janet married Joseph Barkle HARRIS, son of Abraham HARRIS of Pennance and Martha BARKLE, in 1862 in Victoria, Australia ¹. (Joseph Barkle HARRIS was born on 3 Dec 1835 in Gwennap, Cornwall ⁴, christened on 3 Feb 1836 in Wesleyan Methodist, Redruth, Cornwall ⁴ and died on 30 May 1907 in Elsternwick, Victoria, Australia ⁵.)
