"THE LATE MRS. E. BURTON

Mrs. Evelyn E. Burton, who died at the Cleve Hospital on May 20 after a long illness, was the wife of Mr. M. W. K. (Max) Burton, of Rudall, and the mother of two daughters and one son. She was 45 years of age, and had lived at Rudall since coming to the district with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hampel, when a child. Endowed with a cheerful nature, the late Mrs. Burton was greatly loved and highly esteemed by all that knew her.

The funeral, after a short service in the Church of England, took place at the Cleve cemetery in the presence of approximately 200 people who had assembled to pay a last tribute.

Rev. Richards-Pugh, of Cowell, officiated at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Messrs. J, and D. Bagnell, G. Potter, P. McAvaney, H. Heron and A. Phelps." ⁶
