In 1833 Jane Humphreys was a witness at the marriage of her sister Catherine to Evan Lloyd.
Jane understated her age throughout the Censuses.
In 1851 Jane Richards (41) [sic] of Talyllyn and husband John Richards (41) of Llanaber, farmer of 79 acres, were living in Lleachfraith, Dolgelly, Merioneth. Present were daughter Jane (6) of Llanaber, and general servant Catherine Lewis (18) of Llanaber.
Named as a beneficiary in her father's Will (proved 1861), wherein he directs his Trustees to allow Jane and her husband John Richards receive and take the rent issues and profits from Aberdeunant and Hendregerig in the Parish of Llandecwyn during the term of her natural life.
In 1861 Jane Richards (50) [sic] of Talyllyn and husband John Richards (51) of Llanaber, farmer of 116 acres, were living in Lleachfraith, Dolgelly, Merioneth. Present was daughter Jane (16) of Llanaber.
In 1871 Jane Richards (59) of Tallylyn, widow, annuitant, was living in Vronmawdach, Uwchmynydd, Merioneth. Present were daughter Jane Roberts (26) of Llanaber, married, granddaughter Anne Jane Roberts (5) of Llanaber

The Will of Jane Richards late of Vron Mawddach in the Parish of Llanaber in the County of Merioneth, widow, written 7 Oct 1871, proved 25 Mar 1874.
This is the last Will and Testament of me Jane Richards of Vron Mawddach in the Parish of Llanaber in the County of Merioneth, Widow. I give devise and bequeath All and Singular my Real and Personal Estate of what nature or Kind soever which I shall die possessed of unto my Daughter and only Child Jane Roberts for her sole use and benefit and independently of her present or any future husband. And I appoint my said Daughter Jane Roberts Sole Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking all other testamentary writings. In Witness whereof I have hereunder set my hand this Seventh day of October one thousand eight hundred and seventy one.

Proved at St. Asaph on the 25th day of March 1874 by the Oath of Jane Roberts (wife of John Roberts) the Daughter, the Sole Executrix to whom Administration was granted.
The Testatrix Jane Richards was late of Vron Mawddach in the parish of Llanaber in the County of Merioneth Widow and died on the 15th day of January 1874 at Vron Mawddach aforesaid.
