"Mr. F. J. Rosewarne.

Well known Newport resident Mr. Frederick John Rosewarne of 45 Alma Terrace passed away on 19th February. He was born at Bendigo 81 years ago and leaves a wife and a family of a son and two married daughters to mourn their loss. The late Mr Rosewarne was a great worker for the Methodist Church and other organisations in the district. Rev. L. S. Saunders conducted services at the home and grave. A large number of men marched in front of the hearse at the cemetery." ^{5 6}
