In 1900 William Harry, aged 57, born in England, capitalist, and wife of 26 years* Elizabeth Harry, aged 50, born in England (Nov 1849), were living Detroit Ward 1, Detroit, Wayne, Michigan. With them were children (born in Michigan, single) Mammie (28), William G. (27), secretary? of Creamery Co., Fred'k (24), lawyer, and Joseph (16), at school.
* William's wife Elizabeth Jane died in 1885 according to the cemetery record. They married in the late 1870, which is to say, 26 years earlier. Presumably William married for a second time to another Elizabeth of the same age, between 1885 and 1900, though to date no such marriage has been found.
In 1910 William Harry, aged 66, born in England, widower, own income, was in Detroit Ward 1, Wayne, Michigan. With him were children (born in Michigan, single) Mamie (38), and Joseph (26), mining engineer in stamping works.
