We record with regret the death of Mr. Benjamin Phillips, who passed away at his residence, Belvieu, Gwithian, on Monday, the 22nd inst., at the ripe age of 80 years. Deceased was highly esteemed and respected, and was from one of the oldest families of the parish. His mortal remains were interred at St. Gwithian parish churchyard on Wednesday last, when every respect was shown. The coffin was of polished pitch-pine, with brass mountings, and the breast plate bore the following inscription: "Benjamin Phillips, died Oct. 22, 1906, aged 80 years." The Rev. A. M. Baines officiated. Messrs. Eva and Son, Connor Downs, satisfactorily carried out the funeral arrangements.
