Raymond IV DE TOULOUSE Count of Toulouse
- Born: Between 945 and 955, Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, Midi-Pyrenees, France
- Married: Abt 972
- Died: Between 972 and 979
Research Notes:
The Codex de Roda names "Regemundo…et domnus Ucus episcopus" as the children of "Regemundus" (son of "Pontio" and his wife "filia Garsie Sanzionis") and his unnamed wife, specifying that the younger Raymond was killed "in Garazo". As pointed out by Settipani, it is reasonable to suppose that Raymond was the same person as "…Raymundo filio Gundinildis nepoti meo" who is named in the codicil testament of "Gersindæ comitissæ", widow of Comte Raymond Pons, dated to [972]...
He succeeded his father [before 972] as RAYMOND IV Comte de Toulouse. 1
Marriage Information:
Raymond married Adelais D' ANJOU, daughter of Cte Foulques II "Le Bon" D' ANJOU and Gerberga DU GÂTINAIS, about 972. (Adelais D' ANJOU was born between 940 and 950 in Anjou/Pays-de-la-Loire, France and died on 16 Oct 1026 in Arles, Bouches-Du-Rhone, Provence-Alpes-Cote-d'Azur, France.)
