Adélaïde de Gévaudan

  • Born: Gévaudan, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Provence, France
  • Married:

  Research Notes:

Auguste Bernard quotes a charter dated “VIII Id Feb Regis Rodulpho regnante” under which Gérard donated the church of Saint-Pierre d´Aurec to the abbey of La Cluse which names his wife “Adalaix” and his sons Artaud and “Gauffredus seu Vuilelmus”. According to Auguste Bernard, she was the daughter of Pons de Gévaudun, but he does not cite the source on which this is based. 1

  Marriage Information:

Adélaïde married Geraud, comte de Lyon et de Forez, son of Artaud II, comte de Forez et de Lyon and Teutburga. (Geraud, comte de Lyon was born in Lyon, Loire, Lyonnais/Rhone-Alpes, France and died on 5 March or 20 September, after 1046.)
