In 1901 Benjamin Saltmarsh, aged 74, born in Devonport, retired publican, and wife Mary Saltmarsh, aged 68, born in Bridgewater Cornwall were living at 26 Albert St., Plymouth St. Andrew, Devon. With them were granddaughter Annie Watkins (28) of Beerferris Devon, married, visitor Edward Watkins (28) of Holsworthy Devon, grocer's assistant.
In 1911 Ben: Saltmarsh, aged 84, born in Devonport, widower, was with his daughter Annie Northcott and her husband John Northcott at 85 Cattedown Rd, Plymouth.
