"HAYWARD, Allen H. Allen H. Hayward, 81, of West Hartford, husband of the late Ruth (Ridgway) Hayward died Saturday (January 7, 2006). Born in Hartford on June 17, 1924,he was the son of the late Allen and Emily (Crase) Hayward. Mr. Hayward worked 41 years at Veeter- Root Co., before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Elmwood Senior Club, AARP Chapter 3117, the West Hartford Squires, and First Church of Christ Congregational of West Hartford. Mr. Hayward was a member of Wyllys-St. John's Lodge #4,A.F. & A.M. and Hartford-Lafayette Lodge, #88, and also a member of the chapter of the Royal Arch Masons. He is survived by his first cousins, Doris and Richard Defaa of PA; his second cousins, John R. Bestor of Newtown; David Bestor of Windsor; Donald Bestor of FL; Donna Libby of PA and Linda Confer also of PA; and close family relative, Edward Birch of Essex. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 13 at 11 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery, 200 Whitman Ave., West Hartford...." 2
