   Another name for Mary was Mary BENNET.

   Research Notes:

Tentatively this Mary married Francis Rule. Whilst at least two other Mary Bennetts were born in 1797, Mary's age in the 1851, 1861 and 1871 Censuses consistently render a birth year of 1798; in the 1881 she gave her age as 82 (b.c. 1799). Hence it is unlikely Mary Bennetts who married Francis Rule was born in 1797.

In 1841, Mary Rule, aged about 40, and husband Francis Rule, aged about 40, copper miner, were living in Cross Rowe, Camborne. Present were children: Francis (20), Jos. (15), copper miner, Richd. (14), mine boy, Joh. (11), mine boy, Mary (7), Eth. (5), and Joh. Bennetts (5).

In 1851, Mary Rule (53) of Camborne, and husband Francis Rule (51) of Camborne, tin & copper miner, were living in Tolcarne St., Camborne. Present were children (born in Camborne): Francis (28), blind, basket-maker, John (21), basket maker, married, daughter-in-law Martha Rule (26) of Camborne, husband's nephew John Rule (15), copper mine boy, daughter Elizabeth Rule (13), scholar

In 1861, Mary Rule (63) of Camborne, and husband Francis Rule (62) of Camborne, copper miner, were living in 23 Turnpike Rd. to Dolcoath Stile, Camborne. Present were son Francis (38), blind, basket-maker, daughter Elizabeth Kemp (24), wife of mariner, visitor Mary Ann Bennetts (19) of Camborne.

In 1871, Mary Rule (73) of Camborne, widow, miner's wife [sic], was living in Trelowarren St., Camborne with her blind son Francis (48), basket maker.

In 1881, Mary Rule (82) of Camborne, miner's widow, was living in 64 Trelowarren St., Camborne. Present was son Francis (55) of Camborne, unmarried, blind, basket maker.

   Marriage Information:

Mary married Francis RULE, son of Richard RULE and Honour BOSANKO, on 25 Mar 1822 in Camborne, Cornwall. (Francis RULE was born in 1800 in Camborne, Cornwall, christened on 2 Mar 1800 in Camborne, Cornwall and died in 1863-1865.)
