In 1881, Simon Jewell (20) of Crowan, estate labourer, unmarried, was boarding with Edward T. & Elizabeth J. Williams in Clowance, Crowan.

In 1891, Simon Jewell (30) of Jenkin's Bottom, ag. lab., and wife Bessie (31) of Breage, were living in Clowance Ballgate Cottage, Crowan. Present were daughters: Ada (8) & Laura (7), both born in Wheal Clowance, and Kate (6), born in Ball Gate Clowance, all scholars.

Simon Jewell died during the 4th Quarter aged 50 years (GROE Death Index, vol. 5c, p. 117).

   Marriage Information:

Simon married Elizabeth Rogers CARAH, daughter of George CARAH and Unknown, on 17 Jul 1881 in Crowan, Cornwall. (Elizabeth Rogers CARAH was born about 1860 in Breage, Cornwall and died in 1916 in Helston District, Cornwall.)
